After six months of membership, all RTN members may vote in the annual election for members of the Board of Directors, held at the annual meeting (usually at Nationals).

All members will receive meeting minutes, updates, etc.

Members are eligible for participation in RTN-sponsored events, use of online forum, discounted registration at RTN affiliated feiseanna & more.

Members' students can participate in RTN Grade Exams.

Members can participate in teacher training workshops, and sit certification exams for TMRF, TCRG & ADCRG.

Our competitions celebrate Irish culture! We aim to host friendly and encouraging competitions that are fun for the whole family and community alike.

We encourage our feis hosts to include Charitable Programs as part of their events. We value giving back to our communities.

Requirements of Membership

Members who work with the public must have adequate insurance to cover their activities (teacher, show producer, feis organizer, etc.).

Basic first aid training, including CPR certification is required.

Adult members who work with minors must have child safety background checks done and a copy kept on file at the RTN office (new checks must be submitted every five years, if not sooner).

Rince Tuatha Nua, Inc., reserves the right to ask for proof of insurance, CPR training and/or background checks at any time but will not be held liable for members who do not have these things.

Members who are teaching and/or running events such as workshops, feiseanna, performances, camps, etc. are required to have the necessary liability insurance.

Teacher Certification

Starting August 1, 2021, all teachers must have a T.C.R.G. from an Irish Dance organization that has an established examination program in order to enter dancers in Novice, Prizewinner, Preliminary or Champion competitions. This rule applies to any teacher wishing to enter students in competition at RTN events. Proof of certification may be required. Students, ages 18-20, of RTN-certified TCRGs may sit their exams to get their Provisional TCRGs. Once a Provisional TCRG, the member pays 50% dues (or $50/year, not pro-rated) and must follow all the other rules of RTN membership.

Members who allow their membership to lapse for more than one year will be subject to a re-registration fee of $50 prior to reinstatement; members who allow their membership to lapse for three or more years will be subject to a re-registration fee of $100 prior to reinstatement.
